Pencil Holder Upgrade

I enjoyed an updated pencil organizer this year.  It was fairly simple to make.  I found the containers at Target last summer.  First I covered them with scrapbook paper.  Then I glued them together.  I drew the words, found some appropriate graphics, and Mod Podged them on.  There you have it.

Now I'll be looking forward to using this little guy next year. Everyone has been raving about them.  It's about time I figure out why! :)

(My new pencil sharpener that will hopefully last more than a year to two.)

Thanks Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for letting me link up!

  2. OhhHhh, let me know how it works. I've been eyeing it for awhile now. I've gone through 2 pencil sharpeners this year (yikes!) and have been using the office one.

    1. Laurie, I sure hope this one works like everyone says it will. The electronic ones kind of stink, huh?

  3. It is the best pencil sharpener you will ever use. I was skeptical at first because who really wants to hand crank sharpen pencils?! But it is fantastic! I don't let my students use it though. I trained one student on it and she was the official sharpener.

  7. Those are cute. I used a veggie can covered in scrap paper, but I think I'll need to redo it because it got lots of pencil marks on it.
    Looks nice!

    1. Sara, thanks so much. Little people and their pencils can be tough on such things.

  8. Tammy, your lettering is amazing. I was just thinking about you the other day when I was trying to use my "best handwriting" for a special card. I think I may have to go back to your purple and green letters myself.:)
