Halle from Across the Hall in 2nd Grade is linking it up with favorite things this summer. I thought I'd join in with today's topic: Morning Must-Haves. My mornings aren't very thrilling, so it's a short list.
My Bible is part of my morning. I've been hanging out in Psalms since January. I also have a Christian devotional that I'm working my way through.
I don't believe a morning can exist without breakfast. About 100% of the time, this is my breakfast of choice. It tastes nothing like cardboard. Yep, I'd highly recommend it.
I actually feel a little guilty about this one, but I like to have my MacBook Pro nearby during my mornings. I check my email, Facebook, maybe listen to some music, etc.
Depending on the time of year, I find myself wrapped in one of these. I don't particularly enjoy paying for heat. I actually let my thermostat get up to a balmy 68 on winter mornings.
Your morning must-have list is most likely much more exciting than mine. You should go visit Halle and link up too!
I hear ya on the computer - I feel lost without my iPhone, iPad or Mac Book. Eeek Mac has me around their finger!

Lucky to Be in First
Molly, sometimes I have to step away from the computer. :) Thanks for dropping by!
DeleteThere is no better way to start the day than spending time in the Word. That's how I start my day too.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Go Lean Crunch is delicious! I love having it with yogurt and blueberries. Yum!

Becky, feed the spirt and the mind, huh? :)

DeleteMy morning definitely includes my computer and my devotional ... have you seen Jesus Calling by Sarah Young? Speaks directly to me every time ... love this post! And I may have to try that cereal since one of my resolutions is to eat breakfast more regularly.
ReplyDeleteBarbara
Barbara, I haven't heard of that devotional. I'll have to look it up. Thank you for the recommendation. And yes, try out some Kashi!
DeleteI read a devotional each morning too. It's just the best way to start out your day! My computer is one of the first things I check too. :)

Conversations in Literacy
Lori, sometimes I have a problem checking my computer before checking in with God. Not good.
DeleteI love your morning must-haves. Don't feel bad about your laptop. My iPhone is in my palm the minute I can keep my eyes open for more than 10 seconds...I should've included it in my must-haves.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along and linking up!

Halle, I'm happy to join you. Thanks for letting me and coming by to comment too!
DeleteI have to check the computer too! And it is cold in my house during the winter, so I understand the blanket!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, it's hard not to keep an eye on that computer even while buried under blankets. :)
DeleteHi Tammy. Quiet time with the Lord is an important part of my morning as well. I've been studying the life of Peter for some time...

Teaching Little Miracles
Crystal, I bet you're learning a lot from Peter. He has a great story to tell.
DeleteHi Tammy! Found you through Halle's "Morning Must Have's" Linky! What a fun idea, I might add! I also must have my computer or phone by my side in the morning to check on my email, facebook, pinterest, and instagram...Is there anything wrong with that?! I think were all a bit addicted to technology and social media if you ask me! Happy to be your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteAlso, my co-blogger, Carrie, and I are hosting a "Sunny Summer Days" linky and would love for you to join us as all of us teacher bloggers share what we have been up to each week this summer!
