Today my artists drew Salvador Dali-inspired self-portraits. I found the idea from There's a Dragon in my Art Room.
(The artwork above is from There's a Dragon in my Art Room.)
I switched it up by having my kids draw themselves instead of Dali. I really love how they turned out.
Too cute! Do you have scheduled art time?

Teaching Little Miracles
Nope, I don't, and I don't have an art teacher either. I'm it. I try to do art a few times a month. I really enjoy it and the kids do too. I just wish I knew what I was doing. :)
DeleteIn our specials rotation, the first grade does some art with the kids. I'm so glad because I know they love it, and I just wouldn't have time in my room!

DeleteTammy these are absolutely fabulous! I'm pinning this. I think I'd like to do these next Friday. I'll let you know if I do :)
ReplyDeleteBarb, you should definitely try them out and then let me know.
DeleteThinking this would be an adorable board...I mustache you a question. Lots of different directions I could take this. Thanks for a great idea!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I'm glad this inspires you. The blog I mentioned did the same for me. :)
DeleteThese are just adorable!! What a wonderful job your students did on these!
