December Reads

December was a good reading month for me. It helped that I read 12 books over my Christmas break. What a sweet way to spend a vacation. :)

I'm going to include my Goodread star ratings.

In conclusion, I adored Fish in a Tree. Teachers must read this one. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry was my next favorite. It's an endearing and thought-provoking story. I read quite a few Sandra Brown books. Minus the steamy scenes, I enjoy the suspenseful plots.

  3. I also love reading what you're reading! I loved Harold Fry as well. I read so many reviews where they thought it was too dull and I like, hello? did we read the same book! I have Snicker of Magic in my pile right now to read for my student book club. Thanks for your suggestions! (I am also very impressed 12 books!!!!) :)

    1. Miss Trayers, Harold Fry is hard not to enjoy as far as I'm concerned. I'll be interested to see what you thought about Snicker of Magic. I didn't love it as much as I would have hoped.

  4. Thanks again for your book list, Tammy!
I'm going to put Fish in a Tree on hold at the public library.
I really enjoyed Rain Reign, too!
And I'm so glad to see you gave I am Malala a two star rating. I read it awhile ago and I was VERY disappointed. Like you said, the story was inspiring, but oh my gosh! the writing was just awful. I had to speed read/skim through the last half ... I just couldn't take it anymore.
